Asphalt Paving Repairs at Howard A. Eyer Middle School SCOPE OF WORK The work under this contract shall include all labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary to perform asphalt repairs and overlaying along the western driveway and intersection at N. Buttonwood Street at Howard A. Eyer Middle School. Conventional Overlay Pave w/ patch repair of marked areas of roadway, as follows: 1. Mill surface asphalt in marked portions (approximately 3800 square yards) of the western driveway and Buttonwood Street to depth of at least two (2) inches. 2. Saw cut and remove approximately 470 square yards of severely damaged asphalt within the above section and re-compact and refill with 25mm BCBC to appropriate height; 3. Clean and apply tack coat over all areas. 4. Install leveling layer of %" compacted 9.5mm HMA over all areas; 5. Apply tack coat over all areas; 6. Install wearing course of 2 inches compacted, 9.5mm HMA over all areas. 7. Place hot asphalt cement-sealer where the wearing course meets concrete curbing, manholes, inlets & water valves. Cover with sand to prevent tracking.
