Only complete sets will be provided in pdf format or as hardcopies. No deposits are required and no refunds will be made. The successful proposer will be notified upon Board approval, tentatively scheduled for April 12, 2021. No proposal may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after proposals are opened. Bid bond in the amount of five percent of the base proposal is required and must be submitted with the response. A bid bond is the only acceptable form of bid security. No personal checks, cashier's checks, certified checks or cash will be accepted in lieu of the bid bond. Performance and payment bonds in the amount of one-hundred percent (100%) of the contract sum will be required prior to commencement of construction. All bonds shall be written by a surety licensed to conduct business in Georgia, listed on the Federal Register and acceptable to the Owner. Questions that arise prior to the proposal submittal date shall be submitted in writing to both the School System and Southern A & E. Email is the preferred method of communication. Only written questions submitted via email or fax will be accepted. No response other than written will be binding upon the School System. Questions must be received by 2:00pm on the date indicated in the Calendar of Events. Owner reserves the right to waive technicalities and irregularities and to reject any or all proposals.
