As of May 6 2021 project has been awarded. No definite start date yet. Parkland Environmental Group-$97,00 Premier Demolition Inc.-$150,175 The Council of the City of Decatur, Illinois reserves the right to accept, renegotiate or reject any or all proposals and to waive any variance from the requirements of the instruction for bidders. The Council further reserves the right to award the contract to the bidder which, in the opinion of Council, will best serve the public interest, and the criteria listed herein shall be subordinate to the discretion of Council with regard thereto. At the discretion of the Council, required items may be submitted after the bid opening if there is sufficient compliance with instructions at the time of the bid opening to permit the City to determine the price bid. Illinois Human Rights Act applies. Questions regarding these specifications should be directed to Deborah M. Perry (217) 424-2762. The work which the Contractor is required to perform under this contract shall be commenced within fifteen (15) days after the execution ofthis contract and shall be fully completed within Fifty-Five (55) calendar days following execution ofthis contract. A One (1) percent % per day penalty may be assessed for demolition exceeding the Fifty-Five (55) days. City may delay commencement ofthe work by notifying contractor in writing. Thereafter, contractor shall commence work within fifteen (15) days after notice from City canceling the delay.
