Site work for a road / highway in Mount Bethel, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
The project consists of the removal and replacement of the existing cable rail along Allegheny Road with stnadard Type 31-S guide rail. In addition to the installation of th new guide rail, the removal and disposal of existing cable rail, posts, and all other associated work listen herein is icluded, and is indicated on the plans. Bidders need to be prequalified by PennDOT (Sec. 102.01). NO Pre-Bid Meeting will be held for this project. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or Bid Bond in the amount of 5% made payable to the municipality as a proposal guarantee which; it is understood, will be forfeited in case the contractor fails to comply with the requirement of the proposal. All Bidders must be PennDOT prequalified as a Prime Contractor and be prequalified in the specific PennDOT Work Class Codes that constitute at least 50% of the project. The project will be constructed in conformance with Penn DOT Publication 408 (latest edition) and the project Technical Provisions. Bids are opened publicly by the Township at 11:30 AM the day they are due No bid may be withdrawn within sixty (60) days of the date of the bid opening. Upper Mount Bethel Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any bidding informalities.
