Site work and paving for a civil project in West Des Moines, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

Each proposal shall be accompanied by a bid bond, a cashiers or certified check drawn on an Iowa bank or a bank chartered under the laws of the United States in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. If a bid bond is submitted it must be on the form provided with the contract documents. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance and payment bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price guaranteeing faithful performance of the contract and guaranteeing payment to all persons supplying labor and/or materials in the execution of the work provided for in the contract. Additionally, the contractor must provide the City with a guarantee of maintenance of said improvement in the form of surety for a period of four (4) years from the time of acceptance by the City. The extent of work on this project is the furnishing of all labor, equipment, and materials for the construction of improvements generally described as follows: Project Description The paving, grading and drainage associated with a future roadway, SW Grand Prairie Parkway from Mills Civic Parkway to Stagecoach Drive. Project includes 118,000 CY of earthwork, 19,000 SY of paving, 3,700 LF of RCP Storm Sewer, 3,500 LF of Water Main, two single-barrel 10' x 9' reinforced concrete box culvert totaling 670 LF, 10700 LF of open-access conduit network and erosion control. The kinds of materials, estimated quantities, and work to be done for the project on which bids will be received are as shown on the bid proposal for said project At the above time and place all bids received by the City will be opened and publicly read with the results being reported to the West Des Moines City Council at their meeting on April 19, 2021 at 5:35 p.m at which time the Council may take action on the proposals submitted or at such time as may then be fixed. The City Council of West Des Moines, Iowa, will hold a public hearing on the proposed Plans, Specifications, Form of Contract, and Estimate of Costs for the construction of said improvements at 5:35 p.m. on April 19, 2021 in the Council Chambers, 4200 Mills Civic Parkway, West Des Moines.
