Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in West Des Moines, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; playground / park / athletic field; and road / highway.

Construct the Valley View Park Central Grading and Pickleball Parking, including all materials, labor, and equipment necessary for installation of the following approximate Base Bid and Add Alternate Quantities: 1,660 LF of sanitary sewer with 5 structures, 240 LF of water main, 46,000 CY of grading and topsoil, 660 SY of 7-in. PCC pavement, 1,650 SY of 6-in. PCC parking lot pavement and driveway, 770 SY of modified subbase, 2,000 SY of sidewalk and path, 11 ACRES of surface restoration, erosion control, parking lot pavement markings, traffic control, and miscellaneous related work and appurtenances. All bids shall be made on the form furnished by the City through wdm.ionwave.net and shall be filed on or before the time specified above. Each proposal shall be electronically accompanied by a scanned copy of the bid bond or a scanned copy of a cashier's or certified check drawn on an Iowa bank or a bank chartered under the laws of the United States in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. If a bid bond is submitted it must be on the form provided with the contract documents. A physical copy of the bid security will be required to be submitted to the City Clerk's Office by the apparent low bidder within 48 hours of the bid deadline. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance and payment bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price guaranteeing faithful performance of the contract and guaranteeing payment to all persons supplying labor and/or materials in the execution of the work provided for in the contract. Additionally, the contractor must provide the City with a guarantee of maintenance of said improvement in the form of surety for a period of four (4) years from the time of acceptance by the City. Work on said project shall commence within 10 days of written notice to proceed and shall be completed by September 13, 2024. Liquidated damages in the amount of Two Hundred Fifty dollars ($250.00) per day will be assessed for each day that the work remains uncompleted after the end of the contract period.
