As of April 22 the project was awarded to The Expediters, Inc for $80,193.40. Sealed bids, submitted in accordance with the Invitation for Bids for Procurement No. 2021-30, Rehabilitation of Sewage Manholes. This information will be issued by addendum. 5% bid security is required. The City of Eau Claire has 28 manholes that require lining. The size and the depth of these manholes are described in Appendix A of this specification. The general location of each manhole is shown on sewer collection maps in Appendix B. Hydraulic repairs are not expected. If at the time of rehabilitation, it is determined the manhole needs to be patched or repaired to allow for a proper lining a change order will be requested. Any cost increases will be handled through the City's Change Order process. Any manholes requiring hydraulic repair must be verified by City personnel. Contractor Responsibilities. The contractor shall be responsible for furnishing all labor, supervision, materials, and equipment required to complete all of the manhole rehabilitation work, testing, and surface restoration in accordance with this specification. A. This specification shall be interpreted to require that the Contractor shall provide all items, articles, materials, operation or methods listed, mentioned or scheduled as specified, or both including all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary and required for project completion B. It is the intent of this specification to ensure that the work, as completed, shall meet all applicable codes, ordinances, rules, and regulations of all authorities having jurisdiction in the area where the construction is located. Failure of the Contractor to point out items that do not meet such requirements does not relieve any Contractor or his Subcontractors of the responsibility of meeting them. C. All work shall be performed in strict accordance with any City, State, and OSHA Safety Standards for confined space entry procedures and any other laws and/or standards that pertain to this project
