Per the owner, as of February 23, 2022, an award has been made for this solicitation. The owner states that they anticipate bidding for construction in the next couple of months. RFP Engineering - Landscape Architect Services for Median and Side Panel Turf Replacement With Drought Tolerant Plants Project The project requires a State Licensed Landscape Architect to be in responsible charge of the design of the project. The Project is Federally Funded through the Environmental Enhancement and Mitigation Program (EEMP) program. The EEMP Application and Project Map is provided as Appendix A. Required work includes: performing a field review, preparation of removal plan, and preparation of plan to replace of landscaping in conformance with EEMP guidelines for drought tolerant landscaping, irrigation system replacement, specifications, estimate, progress meetings with City, public presentations, and construction support. C. GENERAL TASK DESCRIPTION The City of Norwalk received 2020 EEMP grant funds for the removal of turf and replacement with low water use, drought tolerant shrubs within medians and side panels. The work includes water quality features and low water irrigation systems. The Grant funded project elements include the following: Removal of approximately 9,500 square feet of turf Construction of 3 water capture channels Installation of 5 low water trees and approximately 2,800 drought-tolerant plants Retrofitting existing spray irrigation with drip system Installation of approximately 7 interpretive signs Responses from the City of Norwalk will be placed online no later than 5:00 p.m. on March 30, 2021. As of March 17, 2021 this project is seeking proposals. Bidding for contractors and a firm construction timeline has not been determined at this time.* *Project information, including timeline and contacts, has been obtained through public sources.
