The project consists of: Vaccuum Cleaning both of the existing Recarb Basins and disposal of material along with removal and replacement of existing Ductile Iron Pipes between the Clarifier Weir Box and the West Recarb Basin along with other miscellaneous appurtenances. Each proposal shall be accompanied by an acceptable form of Proposal Guaranty in an amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the amount of Proposal, as guaranty that if the Proposal is accepted, the Bidder will execute the Contract and furnish the acceptable Performance Bond, Labor & Maintenance Bond, Owner's Protective Liability Policy, and Certificates of Insurance within fifteen (15) days after the award of the contract. The successful Bidder, simultaneously with the execution of the Contract, will be required to furnish a faithful Performance Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Amount, and a Labor and Material Payment Bond equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Amount, Maintenance Bond equal to twenty-five percent (25%) for the first year, and ten percent (10%) for the second and third year; Bonds shall be secured from surety company satisfactory to the Owner. The forms of the Bonds the successful Bidder will be required to execute are included in the Contract Documents. The time allowed for completion of this project is 20 working days. Liquidated damages for failure to complete the project within the allotted time or authorized extensions thereof, shall be $350.00 per working day. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in the bidding, for the benefit of the Owner.
