Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Hemingway, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the construction of a fitness / recreation center; and for site work for a fitness / recreation center.
In general, the project consists of a new wellness center located behind the existing Williamsburg County Chavis One Stop complex in Hemingway, South Carolina. The center will include a multi-purpose field, a cinder running track, a splash pad with re-circulating system, a playground and a single-story restroom and concessions building. Work includes construction of a load bearing CMU structure, prefabricated wood roof trusses. reinforced concrete footings and slab on grade. The building will be heated and ventilated but will not be provided with air conditioning. The building will not be provided with a fire sprinkler system. Site work includes connection to existing site utilities and connection of the same to the existing public systems. Clearing, grubbing, and rough grading will be by owner. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond. The laws of South Carolina and applicable regulations of the appropriate licensing boards will be observed in receiving bids and awarding contracts. Williamsburg County reserves the right to conduct subsequent mandatory pre-bid meetings. Williamsburg County reserves the right to reject any and all bids as it may deem to be in its best interest. As of June 15th, a general contractor has not been selected yet.
