Howard Immel Inc., on behalf of the Door County Parks Department, is requesting sealed bids for the Cana Island Light Station Abatement Project in Baileys Harbor, WI. The project is the abatement of lead paint and asbestos containing materials at the historic light station on Cana Island in Door County, Wisconsin. The areas requiring abatement consist of the interior spaces of the lighthouse tower and Keeper’s Residence. No bid shall be withdrawn after the opening of bids without the consent of the Door County for a period of sixty (60) days after the scheduled time of receiving bids. The County of Door reserves the right to reject or accept any or all bids, or parts thereof. The County of Door reserves the right to consider all elements entering into the question determining the responsibility of the bidder. The award for this work or these services or this product shall be to the lowest responsible bidder. A responsible bidder is one who is not only financially responsible, but who is possessed of the judgement, skill, ability, capacity and integrity requisite and necessary to perform a public contract according to its terms. The County of Door reserves the right to waive irregularities, informalities, minor deviations, and technical defects in bids.
