Any person requiring special accommodations shall notify the Belle Chasse YMCA (addressed indicated above) or (504) 392-9622, of the types of accommodations required not less than seven (7) days before the bid opening. Bids shall be submitted in a sealed opaque envelope containing only one bid form. The bid envelope shall be identified on the outside with the name of the project, and the name, address, and Louisiana contractor's license number of the Bidder. The YMCA of Greater New Orleans requires the Bidder to attach a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond, issued in favor of the YMCA of Greater New Orleans, equal to five percent (5%) of the sum of the Base Bid and all Alternates as an evidence of good faith of the Bidder. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish the Owner with a Performance and Payment Bond written as described in the Instruction to Bidders included in the Bid Documents for this project For both the Pre-Bid and the Bid Opening, Contractors are requested to limit their attendance to (1) one company representative. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, per LA Public Bid Law.
