The project is located at the northwest corner of the Alvarado Wastewater Treatment Plant near the south end of Veasy Street in Union City, CA and consists, in general, of the following work: o Demolition and disposal of approximately 40 linear feet of 48-inch diameter pipeline. o Replacement of approximately 20 linear feet of 48-inch diameter reinforced concrete pipe, RCP with centrifugally cast, fiberglass-reinforced, polymer mortar pipe, CCFRPM by open cut. o Rehabilitation of approximately 61 linear feet of 48-inch diameter RCP by slip-lining. o Construction of approximately 93 linear feet of 48-inch diameter CCFRPM by open cut. o Construction of a concrete outlet structure consisting of a slab, headwalls, and wing walls. o Placement of approximately 90 cubic yards of stone riprap for bank and channel protection. o Removal and disposal of approximately 250 cubic yards of sediment to facilitate placement of the rip rap. o Installation and removal of a temporary sheet pile cofferdam. o Construction of an access vault and blow-off piping system on the existing outfall pipeline. o Construction of a new riser pipe and cap on the new redundant pipeline. o Dewatering of project excavations. o Site restoration including final grading, paving, planting, and fencing. o Survey of newly constructed facilities. o Implementation of all mitigation measures in the Project's Mitigated Negative Declaration and Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Plan. o Bypass Contingency Allowance Other work associated with the contract shall include, but not be limited to, mobilization / demobilization, clearing and grubbing, shoring and bracing of excavations, traffic control, erosion and sediment control, pipeline cleaning, debris removal and disposal, pre and post-rehabilitation closed circuit TV, CCTV inspection, and other items or details that are required by the Contract Documents.
