Site work and renovation of a transportation facility in Vancouver, British Columbia. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility; and for site work for a transportation facility.
Redevelop the plaza space in front of Burrard Station as part of a broader Burrard Station upgrade project. The plaza-space upgrades will include: moving the ground-level stairs and escalators closer to Dunsmuir Street; replacing grass outside station with a hard surface; creating a more seamless connection between the Burrard sidewalk and plaza including minimizing or eliminating stairs; replacing all escalators and the elevator, and adding new ones to increase capacity. TIMELINE: Project is cancelled due to higher than anticipated construction bid cost estimates during the procurement process for a general contractor. Coverage is discontinued.
