Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Whitman, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The work under this Contract consists of furnishing all necessary labor, materials and equipment required to provide pedestrian and traffic safety improvements along Park Avenue and at the intersection of Park Avenue and Essex Street. The work also includes reconstruction of existing cement concrete sidewalks, driveways, and curb ramps along the northern side of Park Avenue between Washington Street and Essex Street. Portions of the project identified in the plans as not having surveyed base plans shall be field designed by the Contractor to layout treatments to ensure ADA compliance and the appropriate grades along back of sidewalk as directed by the resetting of granite curb, installation of new granite curb, reconstruction and construction of new cement concrete sidewalk, driveway, and curb ramps, roadway full depth pavement reconstruction, mill and overlay, installation of signs and pavement markings, minor drainage modification work, and other miscellaneous items of work required to complete the project and as shown on the plans and described herein.
