Request for Qualifications (RFQ) and invites qualified and experienced General Contractors and Filed Sub-Bid Contractors to submit a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) to prequalify for the building of the new Whitman Middle School at 100 Corthell Avenue, Whitman, MA. The Filed Sub-Bid categories the Town is requiring to prequalify are: Masonry, Misc Metals, Waterproofing, Roofing, Metal Windows, Glass & Glazing, Tile, Acoustical Tile, Resilient Floors, Painting, Elevators, Fire Protection, Plumbing, HVAC and Electrical. Project Description: New construction project will be completed in 2 main phases, construction of the new building in phase 1 and demolition and site work in phase 2. The new Whitman Middle School will be located adjacent to the existing school in the current field. The new school will be 138,605 GSF and will hold 675 students grades 5 through 8. Demolition of the old school and sitework will follow once students and faculty have moved into the new school. The Whitman Middle School consists of classrooms, offices, science labs, gymnasium, cafeteria, auditorium, media center, art and music rooms, and technology rooms. The new school consists of one 3-story building. The project also includes a new parking lot, landscaping, utilities, play fields and playground area. Proposers shall examine all information and materials contained in and with this solicitation. Failure to do so shall be at the proposer's risk. The Town of Whitman reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the proposals received, or to reject any and all proposals, wholly or in part.
