The Work will include, but will not necessarily be limited to, providing all equipment, materials, labor, supervision, and testing services to mill, overlay and provide full depth road repairs as further described in the bid documents. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the required form, certified check, bank cashier's check, or other security acceptable, to the Owner in the amount of 10% of the total Base Bid. Bids will be effective for 60 calendar days from the Bid opening date except as permitted by law, and may not be withdrawn during this period. Bidders must Bid on all items listed on the Bid Form. All Bidders are required to establish proof of competency and responsibility, in accordance with 67 PA Code Chapter 457, Regulations Governing Pre-qualification of Prospective Bidders and PennDOT Form 408/2011, as supplemented and amended, Section 102. Subcontractors must prequalify in the same manner, if listed in the proposal or if Bidder subsequently undertakes the partial or total construction of one or more items of work. All Bidders and Subcontractors must be PennDOT pre-qualified. Liquidated damages apply at the rate of $500.00 per calendar day. Proposals must be upon the forms furnished by the Municipality. For third class cities the bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 10 % of the bid, made payable to the municipality. For other municipal types it is the discretion of the municipality. The successful bidder must provide a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond within 10 days of the award of the contract. - The Contractor shall provide a 100% Maintenance Bond of the final adjusted contract sum to guarantee all work and materials for a period of twelve (12) months starting from the date of the OWNER Work schedule must be coordinated with the Municipality and must be completed by July 1, 2021.
