Providing Labor and Equipment for Pick-up, Transportation and Disposal of Municipal Solid Waste Generated From Approximately Currently 347 Residential Units Within the Borough of Stockertown From January 1, 2022 Through December 31, 2023 and From January 1, 2022 Through December 31, 2024. All bids shall be tendered on forms provided by the Borough in a sealed envelope bearing the bidder's name and local address, and shall be marked "PROPOSAL FOR MUNICIPAL SOLID WASTE COLLECTION - BOROUGH OF STOCKERTOWN." Each proposal must be accompanied by either a cashier's check or bid bond, payable to the Borough, in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the bid amount. Said amount shall guarantee that in the event the contract is awarded to him/her, such party will execute the contract in good faith. Checks or bonds will be returned to all bidders within ten (10) days after the contract is executed. All bonds must be executed by the sureties who are licensed to contract business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and must be accompanied by a certified, effectively dated copy of the authority to act. The Borough reserves the right to waive any informality in any bid, and to reject any or all bids, or to award any contract as deemed to be in the Borough's best interest. Following the opening of bids, no bid may be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days.
