A bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid amount is required and shall accompany the bid. Bid security may be in the form of a bid bond issued by a qualified surety authorized to do business in the State of Michigan, a cashier's check, or money order payable to Kelloggsville Public Schools. Bids may not be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the bid date. All bids shall be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship that exists between the Owner(s) or any employee of the bidder and any member of the board, intermediate school board, or board of directors or the superintendant of the school district, or chief executive officer or the public school academy. The District shall not accept a bid that does not include this sworn and notarized disclosure statement. All bids shall be accompanied by a sworn and notarized affidavit of compliance with the Iran Economic Sanctions Act. The District shall not accept a bid that does not include this sworn and notarized affidavit. Kelloggsville Public Schools' Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any and all Proposals, either in whole or in part, to waive any informalities or irregularities therein, or to award the contract to other than the contractor(s) submitting the best financial Proposal (lowest proposer), in its sole and absolute discretion.
