Construction of a new roadway segment "Beavers Drive" with a roundabout intersection. The project is aproximently 2,500 feet of new roadway. The typical section for the road is an urban 2 lane undivided roadway with curb and gutter and sidewalks. The proposed Beavers Drive roadway will intersect State Route 293 at a proposed roundabout intersection at mile marker 11.3. The GDOT Standard Specifications Construction Transportation Systems, 2021 Edition, Supplemental Specifications Book, 2016 edition, and applicable special provisions and supplemental specifications apply to the contract. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount bid. All bonds must be countersigned by a Georgia Resident Agent. A Performance Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Bid Price and a Payment Bond in the amount of one hundred Twenty percent (120%) of the Bid Price and a Certificate of Insurance must be furnished by the successful bidder prior to commencing work. The right is reserved by the Owner to delay the award of the Contract for a period not to exceed one hundred twenty (120) days from the date of opening of the bids. The right is also reserved to reject or accept any and all bids in whole or in part and to waive any and all technicalities of informalities.
