A solid waste collection company has been awarded. The City of Oldsmar, Florida, a Florida Municipal Corporation, is soliciting Request for Proposal (RFP) from qualified proposers interested in entering into a contract with the City for comprehensive solid waste collection services. The City intends to select one firm with demonstrated expertise in providing similar services to those requested herein. Proposers with demonstrated expertise in this field are invited to submit a proposal package. Questions regarding this RFP should be directed to Kathryn Farrelly, Procurement Analyst, at purchasing@myoldsmar.com. All questions must be received in writing no later than 5:00 PM, local time, Friday, May 21, 2021, and will be answered via written addendum. The City of Oldsmar staff will evaluate the submitted proposals based on the criteria established in the Request for Proposal and in accordance with Florida Statute 287.055 and rank the qualified Proposers in order of preference. After the ranking is completed, City Council approval will be sought to approve the ranking and award a negotiated agreement, which is in the best interest of the City, to the top ranked Firm.
