Site work and paving for a civil project in Hayward, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

The project consists of providing traffic control and construction area signs; providing and implementing water pollution control plan; milling; adjusting utility structures to grade; installing detector loops; installing reinforcing fabric; installing traffic striping; asphalt concrete resurfacing; and the furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, equipment, mechanical workmanship, transportation and services necessary to be done in order to perform a complete project. MBE = 15% WBE = 5% DBE = N/A NOTE: Specifications Volume 1, dated January 1999, Does Not Apply to This Project. The Contractor must have a Class A or C-12 license at the time of bid opening. Licensing must be maintained throughout the Contract duration. COVID-19: The Public Works Agency will be following the County Health Officers latest Shelter In Place Order or other applicable orders and guidance concerning social distancing, if any, in place during the bid process. Bid Opening may be limited to one attendee per company, and may take place in several rooms with Agency personnel teleconferencing from a separate room. SUBCONTRACTING GOALS: 15% to Minority Owned Businesses and 5% to Women Owned Businesses. Submit the M/WBE Commitment, Information, and Good Faith Effort Checklist forms with the Bid. Submit good faith documentation no later than 2:00 p.m. on the second business day following bid opening. Alameda County strongly encourages the participation of disadvantaged/minority/women owned businesses in public works projects and the hiring of apprentices who reside within the County.
