Delaware Township Municipal Utilities Authority is accepting sealed bids from qualified Contractors for the construction of improvements at its wastewater treatment plant located within Delaware Township, New Jersey. The work includes but is not limited to construction of a gabion wall along the stream channel, construction of a log vane deflector within the stream channel, repair of an existing concrete headwall within the stream channel, and construction of cofferdams within the channel for the temporary diversion of flow. Associated work includes minor tree removal, fence repair, temporary fence removal and restoration, implementation of soil erosion and sediment control measures, and site restoration Proposals must be accompanied by a Bid Deposit in the form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check, Money Order, or Cashier's check, made payable to Delaware Township Municipal Utilities Authority or cash in the amount of ten percent (10%) of Total Bid, not to exceed $15,000. The Bid Deposit must be supplied at the designated time of bid opening as a guarantee that, if the contract is awarded to the bidder, he shall within ten (10) days or sooner execute a contract therefore and shall provide Performance and Payment Bonds as required by the Specifications. Bidder must submit a Consent of Surety with his proposal Each successful bidder shall be required to furnish bonds as follows: a. Performance Bond in a sum equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the full amount of the Contract. The Surety on such bond shall be a surety company authorized to do business within the State of New Jersey. b. Labor and Material (Payment) Bond in a sum equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the full amount of the Contract. Before a Contract is awarded for the work described herein, the Owner will conduct an investigation as to the performance record of the low bidder. Upon request, the bidder shall submit such information as required by the Owner to evaluate the bidder's qualifications. In-stream work cannot commence prior to August 1, 2021. Completion of this project is required before March 1, 2022.
