Estimated Cost ; $460K to $535K CLARIFICATION DEADLINE 6/4/2021 11:00 AM The Schuylkill County Board of Commissioners will receive sealed bids for the McAdoo Borough - CDBG Program - Sherman Street Culvert Relocation Project. This project will include the relocation of the Sherman Street Culvert that carries Celebration Creek. The proposed 3' x 6'culvert will run parallel to Sherman Street and connect to the PennDOT culvert which runs under Kennedy Drive (SR 309). Additional work includes inlet relocation, replacement of existing sidewalk with concrete sidewalk and curb, milling and paving of parking lot, and backfilling of existing culvert with flowable fill. The particular items of work for the contract are identified more specifically in the Bid Format, Contract Specifications and Contract Documents. The entire project will be awarded to one (1) Contractor. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a bidder's bond, or certified check or cashier's check, payable to COUNTY OF SCHUYLKILL, in the amount of not less than ten percent of the total amount bid. CDBG Funds will be used for this project. Federal CDBG Funds will be used for this project. Prevailing wages established under the Davis-Bacon Act will apply to this contract. The contract documents contain requirements addressing prevailing labor wage rates, labor standards, nondiscrimination in hiring practices, goals for minority and female participation, MBE and WBE participation, participation by Section 3 residents and businesses, and related matters. The bidders must submit documentary evidence of minority and or women business enterprises that have been contacted and to whom commitments have been made. Documentation of such solicitations and commitments shall be submitted concurrently with the bid (Form DCED-CCD-286). Failure to submit this form will render the bid non-responsive and therefore result in rejection of the bid. The Contractor will be required to comply with the Provisions of the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act in providing equal employment opportunities in connection with all work. This bid is for a public works contract and bidder is therefore subject to the provisions, duties, obligations and penalties of the Public Works Employment Verification Act, 43 P.S. 167.1-167.11. All submitted bids shall be accompanied with the Public Works Employment Verification Form. The County reserves the right to waive any informality in and to accept or reject any and all bids. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days.
