This project, located in Garrett County, is for the construction of a portion of IS 68. Beginning at the West Virginia State Line and extending in a Easterly direction to MD 42 Bridge (Friendsville) for a total distance 3.79 miles. The work will consist of the following: Traffic Barrier Replacement and Upgrades; W Beam Mounted Delineators; Traffic Median Barrier Installation Project Cost Class - D - $1,000,000 to $2,500,000 Pre-Bid Conference: A Pre Bid Conference will not be held for this project. Minimum wage rates for each Project, if applicable, have been pre-determined by law and are set forth in the Invitation for Bids (IFB). In accordance with State Finance and Procurement Title 13 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, no bid, performance or payment bonds are required for bids less than $100,000.00. However, bids $100,000.00 and above will not be considered unless a Bid Security is submitted as outlined in the Invitation for Bids. Bid Security shall equal at least five percent (5%) of the total amount bid. Also, the successful bidder will be required to supply Payment and Performance Bonds for all Contracts in excess of $100,000.00. It is the goal of MDOT SHA that Disadvantaged and/or Minority Business Enterprises participate in all Federal Aid and State contracts, as applicable. Each contract will contain a specific participation goal. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
