Renovation of a residential development in Ocala, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 1,280-square-foot residential development.
This project consists of construction improvements to site built home, located at: 14 Spring Loop, Ocala, FL 34472. Square footage under the roof is 1,280. TERM: 60 days to Substantial Completion + 7 days to Final Completion Minority-Owned, Woman-Owned, and Small Business Enterprises are encouraged to respond to this solicitation. Marion County believes that hiring done through this contract should, to the maximum extent, be offered to citizens within its boundaries that are unemployed or seeking work for the first time. To that extent, the firm awarded business under this contract will be contacted by the Workforce Connection, our regional workforce development board, to discuss hiring through its staff and services. Your participation with Workforce Connection is not required as a condition of award, but rather an opportunity for greater support for the community and your firm in hiring assistance. For questions relating to this solicitation, contact: Anette Francia anette.francia@marionfl.org CONTRACTOR agrees to furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, permits, licenses and services for the proper repairof the above identified Property in accordance with the specifications and requirements for this Project and per current codes of the Marion County Building Department. CONTRACTOR agrees that all materials supplied are guaranteed to be as specified. Substantial Completion shall be achieved within sixty (60) calendar days and an additional fourteen (14) days shall be allowed for final completion including punch list items. Substantial Completion is the state in the progress of the Work when the Work is sufficiently complete in accordance with the Contract Documents so that the Work can be occupied and utilized for its intended use. The number of calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed throughthe date set forth for substantial completion shall constitute the "Term". All Work shall be completed in a workmanlike manner according to standard practices. The Property shall remain HOMEOWNER occupied during construction Contractor responsible for all measurements, roof square footage and quantities for all roofing materials required to complete roof replacement. - Shingle color to be selected by Owner. - Contractor to notify Construction Coordinator two working days in advance of roof tear off date. - Prior to dry-in decking, truss repair and wood fascia must be inspected by Construction Coordinator. - Roofing Contractor and employees must use extreme caution while working around electrically charged wires to existing weather-head. Contractor and Subcontractors are responsible for providing safety training for all employees and trades while conducting work activities related to this project. - Remove all existing shingles and underlayment down to roof decking. - Contractor to remove gutters carefully and reinstall existing gutters when roof is complete. Note: This only applies to existing gutters. - Re-nail existing sheathing per code specifications. - Furnish and install approximately fifteen (15) sheets of plywood decking for repairs. - Furnish and install Felt Buster(R) high traction synthetic roofing underlayment properly nailed per code. - Furnish and install three (3) new code compliant roof plumbing vent stacks. Apply roofing tar and fasteners, per manufacturer instructions. - Furnish and install new like-for-like kitchen and bathroom universal roof cap vents. Apply roofing tar and fasteners, per manufacturer instructions. - Furnish and install new pipe flashing boot around existing furnace exhaust mounted through roof. Apply roofing tar and fasteners, per manufacturer instructions. - Remove and reinstall existing satellite dish and bracket. This includes the removal and reinstallation of the satellite CATV wires secured to the existing fascia when the fascia replacement is performed. - Remove all water damaged wood fascia around home as needed. Note: (Const. Coordinatormust inspect repair before covering.) - Furnish and install ten (10) (2-inch-thick x 4-inch-wide x 16 feet long) of pressure treated lumber to replace rotten framing, behind finished fascia. Note: (Const. Coordinator must inspect repair before covering.) - Furnish and install six (6) (1-inch-thick x 6-inch-wide x 16 feet long) of pressure treated lumber to replace rotten fascia on the home. Note: (Const. Coordinator must inspect repair before covering.) - Furnish and install eight (8) (2-inch-thick x 4-inch-wide x 10 feet) same species of lumber to replace rotten truss tails. Note: (Const. Coordinator must inspect repair before covering.) - Furnish and install new GAF(R) plastic cobra ridge vent with matching shingles installed on top surface, per Building Code and Manufacturer specifications. - Furnish and install new aluminum drip edge to cover entire roof perimeter per Building Code and Manufacturer specifications. Drip edge to be the color white. - Furnish and install new aluminum fascia to cover entire roof perimeter fascia per Building Code and Manufacturer specifications. Aluminum fascia color to be white. - Furnish and install 30-year architectural/dimensional shingles for entire roof area. Provide warranty information. - During roof rafter and fascia repairs, wood soffits, vents and trim pieces may become loose and come apart. Contractor to reinstall all loose vents, trim pieces and soffit sections around entire home, as needed. All soffits damaged during construction are the Contractors responsibility to furnish and install to original condition. - Furnish and install 30-year architectural/dimensional shingles for entire roof area. Provide warranty information. - Contractor to spread tarps along the base of home to protect shrubs and catch roofing debris during demo. Contractor thoroughly clean-up roof debris to exterior of home and use rolling magnet device to pick-up nails, when roof replacement is completed. LAST DAY FOR QUESTIONS: June 24, 2021, 12:00PM
