Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a civil project in East Berlin, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; and road / highway.
Bid security shall be payable to Lake Meade Property Owners Association (LMPOA) in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the bid price and in the form of certified or bank check or a bid bond issued by an acceptable surety and executed by the bidder. Bid bond will be returned to unsuccessful bidders if requested. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bonds. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the bidding requirements and contract documents must be paid on the project, and that the contractors must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. All bidders are responsible for compliance with the Employee Verification Act of 2013. The LMPOA reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any and all informalities. Bids may be held by the LMPOA for ninety (90) days after the day of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and evaluating qualifications of the bidders, prior to awarding the contract. CLARIFICATION DEADLINE 6/4/2021 4:00 PM The Work will be substantially completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 15.06 of the General Conditions by September 30, 2021. All work to be completed within the timeframe specified in the Bid. The anticipated Notice to Proceed is July 1, 2021.
