Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Montreal, Quebec. Working plans call for the construction of a two-story above grade medical facility; and for site work for a medical facility.
Development of a Rossy Centre of excellence for neurodegenerative diseases (CEND). The new CEND will replace the outdated outpatient clinic that currently occupies the second floor of the Webster, McConnell and Rockefeller buildings. The scope of the project will include the renovation and ergonomic reorganization of the clinical spaces. The CEND will occupy most of the second level of this sector which will incorporate public areas as well as spaces dedicated to education and training. Access to the CEND will be via the entrance to the North Pavilion and the footbridge crossing the interior garden to directly access the 2nd level of the McConnell wing, where the reception of the new CEND will be located. TIMELINE: Working drawings are ongoing. The project is going through regulatory approval process. Pending approval to begin the main project, the owner has awarded a contract for the refurbishment of the cognitive neuroscience unit that was initially part of this project: the related report is under CRM ID name 20-065 Refurbishment of the Cognitive Neuroscience Unit (CNU) - MNI. Project manager expects that a tender for the general contractor will be issued in summer/fall 2026.
