Work includes the rehabilitation of the existing East Dublin Trunk 36-inch diameter sewer in two different locations. The upstream location is parallel to State Route 580 just east of Owens Court. The downstream location is west between John and Owens Drive. Work also includes bypass pumping during rehabilitation activities and rehabbing existing manholes to project sewer with epoxy coating system. Work also includes the installation of a new manhole to allow for bypassing operation Pre-Qualification for Bidders: Not Required License Type Required: Class A The successful bidder will have sixty (60) calendar days to substantially complete the project from the Notice to Proceed Each bid must conform and be responsive to the invitation, the Plans and Specifications, and all documents comprising the Contract Documents. Each bid shall be presented under sealed cover and shall be accompanied by a certified check or bidder's bond, made payable to the Owner, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid. The said check or bidder's bond shall be given as a guarantee that the successful bidder will execute the contract in conformity with the form of agreement contained within the contract documents, and will furnish bonds and insurance policies as specified within ten (10) days after notification of the award of the Contract to the successful bidder. The contract documents that the successful bidder must submit within ten (10) days of notification of award include, but are not limited to, a payment or labor and materials bond in an amount of at least 100 percent of the amount payable by the terms of the project contract and that satisfies the requirements of California Civil Code Section 3248, and a performance bond in an amount of at least 100 percent of the amount payable by the terms of the contract. All project bonds must be executed by an admitted surety insurer in accordance with applicable law and acceptable to the Owner. The Owner reserves the sole right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in a bid.
