Demolition and site work for a residential development in Danville, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the demolition of a residential development; and for site work for a residential development.
The Work comprises the abatement of asbestos, demolition of all structures, sheds, other ancillary property structures, property restoration and all appurtenances for a complete job in accordance with the Contract Documents. Hardcopies of the bid shall be submitted in sealed envelopes marked on the outside "Sealed Bid for the Demolitions of Dwellings at 23 Mill Road, 29 Mill Road and 75 Strawberry Ridge Road". Each Bid shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or Bid Bond in the amount of 10 percent of the total Bid price, payable to the County of Montour, as a guarantee that the Bidder, if its Bid is accepted, will promptly obtain the required Bonds and Insurance, prepare the required submittal documents and execute the Agreement. The Bidder shall include the fully completed Non-Collusion Affidavit with the bid. This Project is being funded by Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency, FEMA-4408-DR-PA All Bids shall remain irrevocable for a period of 60 calendar days from the date of Bid opening, or as allowed by law. Bids may be held by the County of Montour for up to 60 days from the date of opening for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders prior to awarding the contract. Bids shall be submitted upon forms furnished by the County of Montour. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this Project. A determination has been made by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry for the general prevailing rate of per diem wage for each of the localities in which the Work is to be performed. In addition to the Equal Employment requirements of Executive Order 11246 regarding discrimination, the Contractor must establish a 6.9% goal for female participation and a 1% goal for minority participation in his/her aggregate on-site construction workforce for contracts in excess of $10,000. The Project is funded by FEMA and PEMA and the County of Montour has adopted a Minority and Women Business Enterprise (MBE/WBE) policy in accordance with Executive Orders 11625, 12138, and 12432. The bidders/offerors must submit documentary evidence of minority and women business enterprises who have been contacted and to whom commitments have been made. Documentation of such solicitations and commitments shall be submitted with the bid. The Contractor shall strive to meet the MBE goal of 5% and the WBE goal of 3% for contracts of $25,000 or more. MBE/WBE concerns shall be afforded full opportunity to bid without discrimination. The County of Montour reserves the right to award to the lowest responsive, responsible Bidder on Bid Schedule and reject any and/or all Bids as it may best serve the interest of the Owner. The County of Montour reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any irregularities, and to negotiate contract amounts. Clarification Deadline: 6/25/2021 12:00 PM
