The OWNER, Municipality of Jasper, through Aquatera Utilities Inc, acting as the Owner's representative (hereinafter referred to as "Aquatera" or the "Owner", which terms are used interchangeably), invites Prequalification Submissions from General Contractors (herein referred to as the Applicant), interested in completing the Jasper Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) dewatering upgrades. It is the intention of the Owner to prequalify Applicants with experience in completing WWTP dewatering upgrades and/or other relevant experience, as approved by the Owner. The Applicant shall have demonstrated success working with operations to ensure facility operations and compliance throughout construction and commissioning. Throughout the project, the Applicant will be assigned the role of Prime Contractor for the work sites and will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act. The Applicant will be responsible for ensuring the completion of the following construction tasks: 1. Participate in pre-construction design reviews. 2. Demolition of existing centrifuge and installation of new replacement centrifuge. a. The new centrifuge has been pre-purchased under a separate contract. b. Work includes installation of electrical equipment, concrete, and piping associated with new centrifuge. 3. Demolition of existing polymer dosing system and installation of replacement polymer system. a. The new polymer system has been pre-purchased under a separate contract. 4. Demolition of the existing two sludge pumps and installation of three new sludge pumps. a. The new pumps have been pre-purchased under a separate contract. b. Work will also include modifications to the piping around the pumps. c. Work will also include the addition of a grinder upstream of the pumps. The grinder will be prepurchased under a separate contract. 5. Demolition of the existing conveyor system and amendment mixer and installation of new conveyor. a. The new conveyor has been pre-purchased under a separate contract. b. Work will also include modifications to the building to accommodate the new conveyor. 6. Installation of ventilation to improve the air quality around the hot water tank in the WWTP dewatering building basement. Tank replacement may be required. 7. Supply and installation of process mechanical equipment, including piping, valves, and related equipment, as required. 8. Supply and installation of instrumentation including total solids meter. 9. Integration, programming, and relocation of new and existing instrumentation with plant's existing PLC system. 10. Start-up, testing and commissioning of the completed works, including warranty services.
