Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Bridge City, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
This project includes restoration and mitigation measures for the Franklin Street Road & Warner Street Extension Culvert Crossings. The work shall be performed includes, demolition and removal of existing concrete or wooden headwalls, re-shaping portions of existing ditches (embankment), bank stabilization (cement stabilized sand & concrete lining), replacement of existing headwalls, installation of new guardrails, hydromulch seeding and implementation of appropriate SWPPP controls, and trench safety system. Prior to the start of construction, the Contractor shall submit a construction schedule to theEngineer detailing his anticipated activities with estimated dates for the completion of each activity and section. The Contractor shall provide a minimum of two (2) weeks notice to the Engineer prior to the beginning of the work and prior to taking any portion of the operations of the existing sites out of service. The Contractor shall also meet and abide by the attached 2 CFR 200.326 and 2 CFR Part 200, Appendix II, Required Contract Clauses. This document is hereby made a part of this quote. This contractshall include all necessary superintendence, labor, materials, equipment, tools, field jointing, cleaning, grouting, excavation, trenching, shoring, fill, grading, backfill, surface restoration, testing, clearing, hauling and disposal of excess select soil and incidental items necessary for the construction of the restoration and mitigation measures as shown in the plans and technical specifications. The Contractor is responsible for the restoration of all disturbed surfaces, including pavement and rock driveways. All surfaces shall be returned to original condition or better. This includes streets, road surfaces, and ditches. The Contractor is responsible for the removal and disposal of all demo and waste material in accordance with all local, state and federal laws. 1. Mobilization; 2. Provide trench safety plan 3. Provide linear trench protection; 4. Provide shoring type trench protection; Franklin Street: 5. Stabilize ditch slopes using cement stabilized sand; 6. Excavate and remove existing cement stabilized sand from ditch; 7. Remove and replace guardrails on both sides of road crossing; 8. Apply hydromulch seeding on all disturbed areas of project site; 9. Use appropriate SWPPP control measures (general source controls) as needed; 10. Install concrete headwall and wingwalls on both sides of the crossing; Warner Street Extension: 11. Remove existing damaged concrete (headwall) on both sides of road crossing; 12. Construct concrete headwall on both sides of the crossing, including barrier above road surface; 13. Excavate material from NW side of structure to prepare for concrete lining, including backfill; 14. Excavate material from SW side of structure to prepare for concrete lining, including backfill; 15. Place embankment material on NW side of structure to prepare for concrete lining; 16. Apply hydromulch seeding on all disturbed areas of project site; 17. Use appropriate SWPPP control measures (general source controls) as needed; 18. Concrete line ditch; 19. Place structural rock backfill to within approximately 10' from the end of the concrete lining; 20. Stabilize ditch slopes using cement stabilized sand;
