Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a parking garage in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Conceptual plans call for the demolition of a parking garage; for the construction of a 260-space parking garage; and for paving for a parking garage.
Two existing parking structures in Downtown are approaching the end of the design and useful lives. Soon, the cost to maintain the structures will be more costly than constructing new parking structures. Downtown Eau Claire has seen a tremendous revitalization in the past decade and parking demand has increased, and is projected to continue increasing. 2026-2028 Design and construct 260 stall parking deck east of City Hall 2028-2030 Design and construct replacement for Gibson Ramp As of February 14, 2022, this project is currently in the FY 2022 - 2026 CIP and funding is allotted for 2026. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
