Renovation of an educational facility in Palmdale, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The contract duration is 150 Calendar Days. After contract award the contractor shall fully mobilize, submit all requisite submittals for approval, and implement all remodel scope as delineated on drawings, plans, specifications and any bid addendum. The contractor may use spaces under his charge for remodel as on site storage but remains fully responsible for his own security of the same. In lieu of the option noted above, the contractor may stage a cargo container on site as approved by the OWNER / CM. Contractor shall include in his base bid amount of $150,000.00 (One Hundred & Fifty Thousand Dollar) contingency amount for additional scope of work as assigned and approved by the Architect / CM. Payment of any contingency amounts will NOT be made unless work and cost was approved in advance by Architect / CM. Contractor shall use the Owner's designated construction management database tool (COLBIDOCS) and provided forms for all submittals and approval processing. All work is to be performed during the 2 nd shift Monday thru Friday and regular work hour access to interiors of schools is limited to the hours between 2:15PM to 9:45PM during school days. The transition of systems from old infrastructure / wiring to new infrastructure shall be coordinated and scheduled for a separate weekend transition for each school between Friday at 2:15PM thru Sunday at 11:00PM. Contractor shall include in his base bid cost any and all overtime premiums for the above mentioned schedule requirements.
