The owner has selected a Design Builder. A timeline for construction has not yet been established. The University of California, Davis, sealed proposals for a brief design build contract are invited from prequalified proposers for the following work: Central Plant Boiler 3 Emission Improvements Provide and install one forced draft dual fuel burner system for an existing 75,000 lb/hr English boiler delivering steam to a 150psi steam system. The English boiler (designated boiler #3 at the Central Heating and Cooling Plant by the University of California, Davis) is connected to an operating 150 psi steam system. The Work shall include all necessary system modifications to operate, monitor, and control steam generation of boiler #3, as well as integrate into the existing BMS system at the Central Heating and Cooling Plant. Work shall include the design, fabrication, installation, inspection, testing, start-up and commissioning of the boiler system, and shown to be in compliance with Yolo-Solano Air Quality Management District's emission requirements for primary fuel (Natural Gas) and back-up fuel (low bound nitrogen fuel). Proposal Security in the amount of 10% of the Lump Sum Base Proposal, excluding alternates, shall accompany each bid. The surety issuing the Bid Bond shall be, on the bid deadline, an admitted surety insurer (as defined in the California Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120) Maximum Acceptance Cost: $1,100,000 The University reserves the right to reject any or all responses to Prequalification Questionnaires and any or all proposals and to waive non-material irregularities in any response or proposal received.
