Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Hastings, Florida. Completed plans call for the construction of a 1,250-square-foot clubhouse / community center; for site work for a clubhouse / community center; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The scope of work for this project shall consist of furnishing any and all labor, materials, supplies, equipment, tools, and transportation necessary to construct a Community Center in the Flagler Estates Park located at 9960 Oliver Avenue, Hastings Florida 32145, in accordance with the plans and permit requirements. The new Community Center will be approximately 1,250 square feet. The building will be air conditioned and will have ADA compliant restrooms; it will also include an underground fire suppression system, a complete septic system with drainfield, sidewalks, and a stabilized dirt ADA compliant parking lot. The septic system shall be completed per Chapter 64E of the Florida Department of Health Administrative Code. The drainfield size and fill requirements shall be determine based on provided Onsite Sewage Treatment and Disposal permit # 55-SS-2185344. Construction of a walking trail in the park is planned as an additive bid alternate. All work shall be bid and performed specifically in accordance with the plans and specifications. St. Johns County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids/proposals, waive minor informalities, or award the bid/proposal which best serves the interests of St. Johns County. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, and supplies required to complete the work in accordance with the plans, permit requirements, and terms of the Contract. The Contractor shall be responsible for bringing utilities to the site and paying for all utilities, including electricity, until either 1) Final Acceptance of the project, or 2) County occupancy of the building. This is project is funded by a Federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG); therefore, the Contractor must abide by Davis-Bacon Act, as well as all grant requirements. The Contractor must display CDBG signage during construction. CDBG Signage is subject to approval by the County. Prime Bidder must be fully licensed to do business in the State of Florida. Prime Bidder must either be currently licensed as a Certified Building Contractor (CBC) or Certified General Contractor (CGC) in the State of Florida. Copies of current licenses and certifications for the Prime Bidder, and any Sub-Contractors must be provided with the submitted Bid Proposal. Additionally, Prime Bidder must have successfully constructed, as a prime contractor or subcontractor, at least three (3) projects of the type, size, and dollar value of the construction proposed for this project, within the past five (5) years
