Site work and paving for a civil project in Cass Township, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

Sealed Bids for the Airport Road Improvements Project in Foster Township The project will consist of roadway reconstruction or reclamation, guiderail replacement, line painting and minor drainage improvements. Proposed work will be performed on Airport Road from its intersection with SR 901 to the Schuylkill County Airport. The items of work are identified more specifically in the project specifications. The entire project will be awarded to one (1) contractor. A fee of $25 for postage and handling will be charged to bidders wishing to receive the documents by mail. ALL bidders shall register with the Engineer's office. Only registered bidders will receive notification of Addenda to the bid documents. Failure to register as a prospective bidder may result in Addendums not being received/recognized and may result in a rejected bid A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the County of Schuylkill or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and acceptable surety in the amount of 10% of the Total Bid shall be submitted with each bid. THE SUCCESSFUL BIDDER will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price with a corporate surety approved by the Owner. The CONTRACTOR must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or handicap. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all items or portions thereof or to waive any technicalities and informalities in the bid for the best interest of the Owner. No bidder shall withdraw a bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the Bid opening. PA Prevailing wages apply to this contract. This bid is for a public works contract and bidder is therefore subject to the provisions, duties, obligations and penalties of the Public Works Employment Verification Act, 43 P.S. 167.1-167.11. All submitted bids shall be accompanied with the Public Works Employment Verification Form. All questions are due by 4:00 PM on Wednesday, July 7, 2021, submitted to James Tohill, P.E. at jtohill@benesch.com utilizing the Bidder Question-Comment form or posted This work is the base bid items common to both Option 1 and Option 2. Work includes wearing course associated with the roadway, parking lot tack coat below the wearing course, guide rail removal and replacement, roadway and parking lot line painting, pavement base drain, parking lot bumper blocks, items associated with driveway adjustments which include excavation, subbase, base course and wearing course for bituminous driveways or excavation and selected material surfacing for gravel driveways, inlet grate replacement, excavation, topsoil and seeding between the roadway and Park-N-Ride, and sign replacement/new installation. The Mobilization and Maintenance and Protection items shall be bid to correspond the roadway repair option selected in the Base Bid Options on the following sheets. Erosion and Sedimentation Controls, connecting PBD to existing inlets, sawcutting, pavement notches, sealing joints, etc are considered incidental.
