After being pushed back last year, Town Council on Tuesday approved a contractor to work on Town Park improvements, such as landscaping, pathways, a multiuse athletic field and playground enhancements. American Civil Constructors won the bid, and the project will cost $2.64 million from the capital improvement fund. Work is planned to begin in the spring and be done by the end of summer. ____________________________________________________________ Reconstruction of Dillon Town Park including a large multi-purpose field, artificial turf infield for baseball with fencing and dugouts, paths and concrete walks, trees and shrubs, and various utility service work including water, storm sewer, and sanitary sewer. The work includes earthwork to fine grade the site to subgrade; spreading and amending previously stockpiled topsoil; installation of an irrigation system and booster pump; asphalt paths and concrete sidewalk areas.
