Contract 1: Award to McGinnis, Inc. $147,000. Contract 2: Award to Dixon Electrical Systems & Contracting , Inc. $66,700. The scope of work involves two separate contracts necessary to support the citys work in the implementation of a temporary raw water intake facility to replace the existing intake structure on the ohio river. The city intends to self-perform some of the work elements such as concrete anchors and underground piping, but wishes to procure services for the fabrication of the new facility and for electrical contracting. Fabrication contract: this work will involve the work necessary to transport a boat dock and catwalk recently purchased by the city to the site and make modifications necessary to place it into service as a new pump station. The work required is generally shown on drawings prepared by banks engineering. In general, the fabrication portion of the work will involve the following elements: 1. Transporting the boat ramp and catwalk from its current location in south point, ohio to the site and anchoring the facilities in place as shown on the drawings. 2. Prior to placement in the river, conduct surface preparation and painting of the boat ramp and catwalk. Install conduit and replace the catwalk decking along with other modifications shown on the drawings. 3. Procurement and installation of the boat ramp pumping and piping equipment including the pumps, valves, railings, and piping shown on the drawings. This work will end on the riverbank where the piping goes underground, where city crews will complete the underground piping and connections. Electrical contract: the work will involve modifications to the existing electrical building and installation of electrical equipment and materials for the new pumping station on the boat ramp. As generally shown on drawings prepared by banks engineering, the electrical portion of the work will involve the following elements: 1. Procurement and installation of conduit, wiring, and all appurtenances necessary to extend electrical service from the existing electrical building to the proposed pumps and lighting on a boat dock provided by others. Installation of lights meeting coast guard navigation requirements and to provide lights for night time maintenance work is included in this task. 2. Modifications to the existing control panels and related equipment in the electrical building. 3. Procurement and installation of variable frequency drives (vfds) in the existing electrical building.
