Renovation of a fire / police facility in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
The work of this Contract involves the removal and installation of nine water fountains with bottle fill stations at the RCMP Building, located at 1091 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba. On September 21, 2018, the Government of Canada made the following public commitments to better manage the use and disposal of plastics in its own operations. - Divert at least 75% of plastic waste by 2030 from federal operations; - Eliminate the unnecessary use of single-use plastics in government operations, events and meetings - Promote the procurement of sustainable plastic products and the reduction of associated packaging waste. As part of RPS action plan on reducing plastic in this building BGIS is supporting PSPC commitment to remove water fountains and install water bottle re-filling stations. For this contract, the owner will be represented by the Project Manager appointed or as delegated by BGIS, who will fulfill the role defined for the BGIS Representative in the specifications Security Requirements: Company DOS required within 5 business days, PWGSC Reliability personal clearance within 5 business days (includes sub-contractors), RCMP Facility Access II personal clearance within 10 business days (includes sub-contractors).
