Each Proposal shall be accompanied by a cashier's check or a certified check drawn on an acceptable bank, or an acceptable Bidder's Bond, in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the total bid amount. If any person who contemplates submitting a bid is in doubt as to the true meaning of any part of the plans, specifications, or other proposed contract documents he may submit to the Engineer a written request for an interpretation thereof. The person submitting the request shall be responsible for its prompt delivery. Interpretations of the proposed contract documents will be made only by addendum. A copy of each addendum will be mailed or delivered to each person obtaining a set of contract documents from the Engineer. The Owner will not be responsible for any other explanations or interpretations of the proposed contract documents. All requests for interpretation shall be submitted to the Engineer by 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 10th, 2022. Answers will be placed on the web site by 2:00 p.m. the following Friday. A. Performance Bond: A performance bond to the Owner, in an amount equal to one hundred (100) percent of the contract. B. Statutory Bond: A statutory bond to the State of Kansas in amount equal to one hundred (100) percent of the contract. The City of D odge City reserves the right to charge the Contractor for any additional requests for project plans and specifications in the amount as stated in the Notice to Bidders, over the above stated four (4) sets.
