Response Format Electronic Project Type RFP (Request for Proposal) Response Types Cost File Response File Type of Award Lump Sum Online Q&A Yes Q&A Deadline 08/25/2021 5:00 PM (PDT) This Request for Proposals (RFP) solicits consultants to provide professional services to complete final engineering for the HSIP-9 Valley Hi and La Mancha Safety Project (project). This includes Plans, Specifications, and Estimate (PS&E) for civil and electrical improvements, and utility relocations if deemed necessary. The project is in the City of Sacramento on Valley Hi Drive and La Mancha Way from Bruceville Road to Creek Centre Court, as exhibited in Attachment A and further detailed in Section II of this document. The purpose of the project is to reduce conflicting automobile turning movements and improve pedestrian safety. This project is federally funded; therefore, federal procurement rules apply to the project. Other Details To assist bidders in ascertaining DBE availability for specific items of work, the City advises that it has determined that DBEs could reasonably be expected to complete subcontracting opportunities on this project, and their likely availability for work on this project is 8 percent. Proposers must engage project participation of DBEs in the specified percentage above or demonstrated Good Faith Effort (GFE) to do so in the event they are unable to meet the required level of DBE participation on the project. Failure to comply will result in a proposal being declared not responsive. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this time.
