Library Board project approval is anticipated to occur at the September 23, 2021 meeting of the Board of Trustees. Commencement of the work on the project shall be subject to the discretion of Owner. The Owner reserves the right to waive any irregularities and to accept any or reject all bids when, in the opinion of the Owner, such action will serve the best interest of the Owner. Bids on all work of this contract shall be subject to the provisions of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (Illinois Revised Statutes, Chapter 48, Section 395S - 1-12). Any comments or questions must be submitted to the Architect no later than August 18, 2021, by 1:00 p.m. local time. Any clarifications or revisions to the construction documents will be issued by the Architect in the form of an Addendum. This Project consists of installation of interior wall finishes and minor drywall prep-work at the existing Glenview Public Library. The Owner will be occupying the building for the duration of the work and the Library is to remain open throughout the project. The Library will secure an independent moving contractor outside this scope to temporarily relocate selective furniture to provide access to areas receiving new finishes. It is assumed that painting work will be phased and work will be performed in multiple smaller sections moving through the Library. Selected contractor for this painting project shall be responsible for coordinating schedule with the Library's movers.
