Site work, paving, outdoor lighting and new construction of a mixed-use development in Gonzales, Texas. Working plans call for site work for a educational facility; for the construction of a warehouse / distribution facility; warehouse / distribution facility; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and playground / park / athletic field.

As of 4/27/2022, the district has decided not to move forward with the project at this time. Est. Budget: $1.5 million (base) / $2.5 million (with alternates) Base Proposal A (Track & Field and Athletic Lighting System): all scope within the footprint of the track and field to include the conversion of the existing natural grass football field to synthetic turf (excluding the synthetic turf system itself), a new synthetic high jump apron adjacent to the existing running track, new long/triple jump runways and pits inside the track, and new football goal posts. Also included in Base Proposal A is the new LED Athletic Field Lighting System (refer to specification). Refer to electrical for more detail regarding the proposed outlets and conduits inside of the track. 2. Base Proposal B: all scope outside of the track footprint to include new electrical service and equipment, new aluminum grandstands and relocation of existing, elevated press box, replacement of chain-link fencing in front of the bleacher area with 3' black PVC coated chain-link fence, new 8' chain-link fencing at the baseball bleacher area, asphalt repair in the existing parking lot, new concrete sidewalks and concrete pavement for the dumpster, and miscellaneous lighting and camera improvements (refer to MEP). Base Proposal B shall not include the athletic lighting system but the Contractor will be responsible for coordinating with the lighting installer and for all work necessary to provide a complete and in-place system, including but not limited to power connection and routing from service to poles, electrical rack, and all other necessary electrical equipment. 3. Base Proposals C through O: new synthetic turf system. 4. Alternate proposals include a new scoreboard, a new 30'x30' metal storage building, parking lot improvements including new 8' chain-link fencing, 6" concrete pavement with subgrade stabilization, 2.5" asphalt mill and overlay in existing parking lot, and restriping, replacement of chain-link fencing around the track perimeter with 8' black PVC coated chain-link fence, new concrete apron around the track perimeter, and various turf shock pads and alternate infills. A Payment Bond and Performance Bond, each in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Sum conditioned upon the faithful performance of the Contract will be required. Please note that all bonding companies presented must be acceptable to the Owner. The prevailing rates of wages are the minimums that must be paid in compliance with applicable laws of the State of Texas.
