Public notice is hereby given by the Village of Lake Bluff, Lake County, Illinois that sealed bids will be received for the 2021 Pathway Resurfacing Improvements project. Bids will be received, at the Lake Bluff Village Hall, 40 E. Center Avenue, Lake Bluff, IL 60044. Sealed envelopes or packages containing bids shall be marked Sealed Bid 2021 Pathway Resurfacing Improvements. A public bid opening will take place immediately. The proposed improvement includes: HMA pathway milling, patching & overlay, select curb & gutter replacement, sidewalk replacement, structure adjustments, ADA sidewalk construction and site restoration within the Village. The two low bidders must file within 24 hours after the letting an Affidavit of Availability (Form BC 57), in duplicate, showing all uncompleted contracts awarded to them and all low bids pending award for Federal, State, County, Municipal and private work. One original shall be filed with the Awarding Authority and one original with the Engineer. The Village reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any informalities or technicalities in bidding, and to accept the Bid which best serves the interests of the Village. The Village shall, in its sole discretion, determine what does or does not constitute an informality or technicality, and, in submitting a Bid, the Bidder agrees to be bound by that determination. Bidders who are awarded a contract shall be required to provide a Labor and Material Payment Bond and a Performance Bond, each in the total amount of the contract sum upon execution of the contract. The successful bidder is required to pay the general prevailing wage for work under this Contract as ascertained by the Illinois Department of Labor, and shall submit certified payroll records, in compliance with the Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130) and the requirements of the Bidding Documents. HMA pathway patching, milling and resurfacing/overlay, curb & gutter removal and replacement, ADA sidewalk installation, structure adjustments and site restoration.
