The Questions deadline has been revised from September 13, 2021 to September 27, 2021 at 2:00 PM. The Maryland Environmental Service (MES) is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP) for the replacement of an existing storage barn at the Brown Station Road Sanitary Landfill (BSRSL) located at 3500 Brown Station Road, Upper Marlboro, MD 20774. The Contract that results from this RFP shall be a Design/Build contract The purpose of this project is to design, demolish the existing, and construct a new replacement barn without encroaching on nearby infrastructure or property boundaries and to improve use by allowing truck and trailer access to drive through the barn. This may require altering the orientation of the barn. The anticipated use of the barn will remain the same. The replacement barn shall be designed, furnished and constructed with a storage capacity of holding up to 4,000 50-lb straw bales, be built with doors that latch open and closed, and has no requirement for electrical power. Road access shall be maintained throughout demolition and construction to allow County employees access to equipment and facilities beyond the barn. Questions Due Date: Sep 13th 2021, 2:00 PM EDT The Contract that results from this RFP shall be a Design/Build contract with fixed lump sum prices.
