A firm timeline for construction has not been disclosed. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The Thomasville City Schools (hereinafter referred to as TCS) is hereby seeking proposals from construction firms to provide services through the Construction Management at Risk delivery method for the Thomasville City Schools - 6-12 School Renovation & Addition located in Thomasville, GA which includes a renovation to the existing school buildings, additions to existing school buildings, demolition of existing school buildings, new athletic fields, and a new track. Also included will be renovations of the Thomasville City Schools three elementary schools. The proposed project consists of a multi-phase construction process that will be located on the occupied campus of MacIntyre Park Middle School. The first phase of new construction will consist of a new 6-12 gymnasium, two-story academic wing, football field house, and athletic fields. The second phase of construction will consist of the demolition of the existing middle school gymnasium, a large-scale renovation of the existing "Scholars Building", and the new construction of a CTAE/Fine arts/Cafeteria/Kitchen building. The final phase of construction will consist of the demolition of the existing middle school kitchen/cafeteria/annex building, the demolition of the existing high school facility, and final site work which will include a new track and field. This project will require heavy construction coordination as students will be relocated to swing facilities throughout the duration. The final facility will be the Thomasville City Schools 6-12 Campus and athletic complex. The 6-12 campus will be on the existing MacIntyre Park Middle School property located at 117 Glenwood Dr, Thomasville, GA 31792 and the athletic complex will be on the adjacent existing high school property located at 315 S Hansell St, Thomasville, GA 31792.
