Renovation of a municipal facility in Liberty, Missouri. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility; and municipal facility.
Liberty, Missouri will begin the Design/Build process for City Hall renovation , including addressing the building's glass atrium that is causing significant leaking into the building, and repairing all damages caused by the leakage. All repairs and major updates to City Hall shall be to a minimum of LEED Gold standards. The front entrance from Kansas Street into the second floor of city hall shall also be upgraded to meet ADA compliance as part of the atrium improvements. City Hall is an active facility with the second floor needing to have access to City Council Chambers on Monday evenings for Council meetings, and on Thursday evenings and Friday mornings for Municipal Court activities. Also the 2nd floor finance activities must be accommodated on a daily basis as part of the project requirements. Alternate project desires include tuck-pointing the existing brick around City Hall as needed. The entry into City Hall from the Kansas Street should be welcoming and continue to provide a signature feel to the 2nd floor of City Hall. Entry into City hall shall meet ADA standards. Maintain citizen access to conduct business on the second and third operations. Provide ability to continue to conduct meetings in the Council Chambers including City Council meeting and Municipal Court during construction.
