This work involves the blasting of rock to allow for water main and services installation. Pre-blasting house inspections to be conducted along with coordination with utility companies. Sealed Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis, as indicated in the Bid Form. Drawings can be picked up at any of Avalon Document Services' locations. 1. For a non-refundable fee of Ten Doltars ($10), interested firms may request and receive an Electric Download of the Bidding Documents. 2. for a non-refundable fee of Ten Dollars {$10}, interested firms may request and receive a CD with electronic copies of the Bidding Documents. If the CD is to be shipped, the Bidder must furnish Avalon with the Bidder's active UPS or Federal Express account number or pay Avalon for all shipping and handling costs. 3. Fora non-refundable fee, printed copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Avalon Planroom. If the documents are to be shipped, the Bidder must furnish Avalon with the Bidder's active UPS or Federal Express account number ar pay Avalon for all shipping and handling costs. The Bidding Documents must be obtained through the Avalon Pianroom in order to be considered a Plan Holder of record. Bidding Documents obtained from any other source are for examination only, are not considered complete and are not valid for bidding purposes. Bidding Dacuments also may be examined at the offices of MRB Group, and the Town of Phelps, 79 Main Street, Phelps, New York 14532, on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 9:00 AM and 3:30 PM; or online through internet based construction information subscription services. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Town of Pheips, nor Engineer, nor Avalon will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the issuing Office. The Town of Phelps, Ontario County, New York, reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to waive any informalities, or to make an award to other than the low bidder. It further reserves the right to limit the amount of the award. Attention of the bidders is particularly directed to the requirements of the conditions of employment to be observed and minimum Wage Rates to be paid under the Contract. Section 746 of Title Vil of the Consolidated Apprapriations Act of 2017 (Division A - Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2017) and subsequent statutes mandating domestic preference applies an American Iron and Steel requirement to this project. Alt listed iran and steel products used in this project must be produced in the United States. The term "iron and steet products" means the following products made primarily of iron or steel: lined or unlined pipes and fittings, manhole covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, flanges, pipe clamps and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast concrete, and construction materials.
