Remodeling of a clubhouse / community center in Merced, California. Completed plans call for the remodel of a clubhouse / community center.
The purpose of this project was to remodel the Baseball Club House. All work shall be performed in accordance with the Project Manual standards. Work shall be performed per commercial industry standards with proper craftsmanship. All work must also meet District Standards. Exterior Repair and Protective Plating o Patch and stucco areas at building front and rear entrances o Install stainless steel wall protection up to 4' with corner guards to protect from cleat damage o Install 2 new vestibule lights o Paint front and rear entrance area/vestibules o Chain link fence to enclose area at back entrance and remove existing gate to open back entrance to field o Concrete slab in fenced enclosure at rear entrance, sloped for runoff, Break up concrete in rear vestibule and pour new concrete Utility Room o New exterior double door, hardware and frames o Removal of 6' tall 5' dia boiler, components and insulated piping o Break up floor riser, cap off all plumbing in walls and in floor, infill floor sink, level floor, repair stucco walls and ceiling and paint walls, ceiling, doors and door frame Club Room o Lighting - Remove old Fluorescent lights and install new ceiling mount LED lights - 11 lights o Floor/ Rubber Mats - Remove existing mats, clean and repair floor, level and paint o Install rubber base o Paint - Repair and paint interior walls o Repair and paint ceilings o Repair and repaint doors and door frames o Specialty painting - mascot, colors, striping, decor o Heat/Air Conditioning - Install mini-split system (air conditioning and heat) 2 wall units o New equipment storage cabinet 12' length x 8' height o Coaches Offices - 12 x 15 Vinyl flooring and rubber base in assistant coaches office o Convert shower room and bathroom into changing room Shower / Weight Room o Remove shower spray units, cap off water in walls, cap off shower drain o Remove shower wall and floor tile, drywall and texture finish or recoat lath wall with texture. Level floor and tile. Repaint room o New Exhaust vent/fan Bathroom o New wall tiles (112 sq. ft) o 2 New urinal(s) o New exhaust fan o Brushed stainless on lower walls in restroom Pre-Bid Inquiries. Bidders may submit pre-bid inquiries or clarification requests. Bidders are solely and exclusively responsible for submitting pre-bid inquiries or clarification requests no later than 4:00 PM FIVE (5) days before the latest date for submittal of Bid Proposals. Pre-bid inquiries or clarification requests shall be submitted to: charles.hergenraeder@mccd.edu No Withdrawal of Bid Proposals. Bid Proposals shall not be withdrawn by any Bidder for a period of sixty (60) days after the opening of Bid Proposals. During this time, all Bidders shall guarantee prices quoted in their respected Bid Proposals. Return of Executed Agreement. The Bidder awarded the Contract shall execute the Agreement and return the executed Agreement to the District within five (5) calendar days from the date of receiving notification that it is the Bidder to whom the Contract has been awarded. If the successful Bidder fails to return the executed Agreement pursuant to the foregoing, the District may declare the Bidder's Bid Security forfeited as damages caused by the failure of the Bidder to enter into the Contract and may thereupon award the Contract for the Work to the responsible Bidder submitting the next lowest Bid Proposal or may call for new bids, in its sole and exclusive discretion. Waiver of Irregularities. The District reserves the right to reject any or all Bid Proposals or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any Bid Proposal or in the bidding. Award of Contract. The Contract for the Work, if awarded, will be by action of the District's Board of Trustees to the responsible Bidder submitting the lowest priced responsive Bid Proposal. If the Bid Proposal requires Bidders to propose prices for Alternate Bid Items, the District's selection of Alternate Bid Items, if any, for determination of the lowest priced Bid Proposal and for inclusion in the scope of the Contract to be awarded shall be in accordance with the Instructions for Bidders.
